About this work
A watercolor and pencil drawing shows a black panther standing on its hind legs with its forelimbs resting on a pale rock, mouth open to reveal its teeth. The creature has an unusually human-like face in shades of grey, set against a pale blue sky and tall green grass, with scattered red and green pebbles at its base.
