About this work
A watercolor and pencil costume design shows a standing male figure dressed as an Egyptian high priest, wearing a blue robe, a spotted leopard-skin garment, a red sash with a lion-head clasp, and a beaded collar. He holds a tall staff in one hand and a leopard-skin piece in the other. The sheet is inscribed "High Priest Egypt" and signed by Will R. Barnes, dated 1912 to 1924.
