About this work
This large vertical painting shows a multi-generational group of figures arranged in tiers, seated before a central altar table with a blank tablet, vases, and ritual objects. The figures wear richly patterned Qing dynasty robes and ornate headdresses, with red hats and embroidered rank badges visible among the men. Inscribed labels beside several figures identify the sitters.
