About this work
A misty landscape shows a small roofed pavilion with reddish tiles nestled among dense bamboo and willow-like foliage beneath steep, shadowed peaks. A winding stream with rocks runs through the lower foreground, and a column of calligraphy with a red seal appears at the upper right. The work is ink and light colour on silk, dated 1847 and attributed to Tsubaki Chinzan.
