About this work
A single-line black outline drawing shows a woman's face seen frontally, with downcast eyes, a small nose, full lips and hair pulled back with loose strands falling around the cheeks. The sheet is cream-colored and bears a pencilled edition number 23/25 and the signature Henri Matisse.
