About this work
A lithograph titled La toilette assise, created in 1925 by Pierre Bonnard, shows a seated woman in profile with a dark head covering and one bare leg drawn up beside her. She rests an arm on a small table holding a cup and a flower, set against a shaded interior with a chair behind her. Loose, expressive black strokes define the figure and surrounding space.
