About this work
A woodblock print shows a hooded monk in black robes and a blue head covering turning away from a child in an orange patterned kimono who holds a string of prayer beads. Red maple leaves drift across a blue ground beneath a gnarled tree, and a printed text panel with vertical calligraphy sits at the top.
