About this work
This triptych print shows elegantly dressed women in kimono gathered among pine trees and blossoming branches, with Mount Fuji rising in the background. A figure in patterned robes appears above the clouds at the top center, while groups of women move through the landscape or sit and converse on the right. The work is by Toyokuni Utagawa, dated 1801, and is titled Yatsushi kuramayama.
