About this work
A nineteenth-century lithographic map of Mexico titled Carta Histórica y Arqueológica is centered on the page, with a smaller inset map of the Valley of Mexico. Surrounding it are framed illustrations of pyramids and ruins, along with carved stone sculptures, an Aztec calendar stone, and ceramic vessels arranged along the top and bottom borders. The sheet is attributed to Antonio García Cubas and dated 1885.
