About this work
This chromolithographic plate from the Atlas Pintoresco centers on a colored ecclesiastical map of Mexico, with the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding territories labeled, and a bar chart in the lower left. Surrounding it are framed views of Mexican churches and cathedrals, including interiors and exteriors of Guadalajara, Mexico City, Puebla, Morelia and Guadalupe. The plate was made by Antonio García Cubas and dated 1885.
