About this work
A chromolithographic wall chart from 1888 by W. Crüwell, titled Eye, shows a rural scene of two women shading their eyes against the sun beside a goat, with two children in a wheat field. An inset close-up of a human eye with its lid and brow is set in the lower left corner, illustrating the educational purpose of the print.
