About this work
A chromolithographic illustration shows a young girl in a dark bodice and white apron smelling a pink flower while carrying a basket of blossoms along a dirt path through a meadow. A yellow butterfly and a farmhouse appear in the rural background. A separate inset at lower left shows a detailed pencil-style drawing of a human nose, part of the educational wall-chart series. The print is attributed to W. Crüwell and dated 1888.
