About this work
A hunter in a green jacket and feathered hat fires a long shotgun across a meadow while a spaniel-type dog leaps through the grass. Birds scatter into the sky at upper left, and a game bag hangs at his side beside a bundle of game birds. The work is a chromolithographic print by W. Crüwell dated 1888, from a German educational wall picture series.
