About this work
A chromolithographic print titled Sheep, made by W. Crüwell in 1888, shows a grassy hillside with a large ewe in the foreground beside a ewe and lamb. A shepherd in a wide-brimmed hat and red jacket rests with a crook near his flock, a dog, and a canvas-covered wagon, while a dark crow perches in a broad tree at left. The sheet is labeled as a wall picture for object and language teaching, first series, image 6.
