About this work
A colour lithograph shows a mustached man in a cap, green waistcoat and leather apron sawing a log with a two-handed bow saw on a wooden sawhorse. A second bow saw leans against a brick wall at left, and stacks of cut logs and a wicker basket of firewood appear at right beside a tree with a birdhouse.
