About this work
A colour lithograph shows a boy in a fur cap and red vest leading a dark grey donkey loaded with a large white sack along a dirt road. A windmill stands on a hill at upper right, with a village of half-timbered houses at left and flocks of birds in the sky. The print is titled Donkey, attributed to W. Crüwell, and dated 1888.
