About this work
A color lithograph showing a Dutch rural scene with a red-tiled farmhouse, a woman standing in its doorway, and two figures reclining on a sunlit lawn beside a dog. A canal with a wooden footbridge, grazing cows, and a hay cart fill the surrounding landscape under a cloudy sky. The print is attributed to the Lith. J. Beerta workshop and dated 1904, and is titled Before the storm.
