About this work
A printed scene shows a dying man in bed attended by a priest who anoints his forehead, while a server holds a dish and a nun and a family kneel in prayer. A candlelit table with a crucifix and a framed religious image on the wall complete the sickroom. The work is titled The Last Rites, is attributed to Josef Reich, and is dated 1911.
