About this work
A colour print titled Confirmation by Josef Reich, dated 1911, shows a bishop in a gold cope and mitre laying a hand on the head of a kneeling boy while a man in a dark suit rests a hand on the boy's shoulder. Clergy attendants stand to the right, and a congregation of girls in white dresses and men in dark suits watches with hands clasped in prayer beneath a painted panel of saints and angels.
