About this work
A chromolithographic print titled Gothic Altarpiece, by Josef Reich and dated 1911, shows a Gothic-style altar set beneath a pointed stone arch. The central panel depicts a Pietà with a Madonna, and folding wings show narrative scenes, while two figures in liturgical dress stand before a laid altar with candlesticks and a crucifix.
