About this work
A chromolithographic print titled Communion is distributed, attributed to Josef Reich and dated 1911, shows a priest in white vestments bending over an altar draped in white linen. Two kneeling altar servers in red cassocks and white surplices attend him, while a couple in the background kneels in prayer. A crucifix, lit candles, and white lilies decorate the altar, and a painted scene of a figure in a red robe and a soldier appears on the left.
