About this work
This multi-panel chromolithographic plate shows a coal mine in cross-section, with a surface headframe and factory buildings above, shafts and horizontal galleries of seams below, and miners working at the coal face. Titled Steinkohlenbergwerk, the print is attributed to Josef Klemm and dated 1910.
