About this work
A workshop interior shows several men at work among stacks of wooden barrels, some shaping staves on a bench and others fitting hoops around a barrel in the foreground. Curved wood shavings cover the floor, and coiled hoop iron hangs on the left wall beneath a row of windows. The print is titled Cooper and is attributed to Felix Elssner, dated 1904.
