About this work
A colour print titled Potter by Felix Elssner, dated 1904, shows several men working in a rustic pottery workshop with wooden benches, oil lanterns and shelves of finished and unfinished ceramics. One man shapes a vessel on a potter's wheel at left, while others trim, decorate and carry wares, and a glowing kiln is visible through a doorway at the right.
