About this work
A colored lithographic wall chart shows figures working flax in an open-sided wooden barn with a thatched loft and roosting chickens. Men beat and scrape the stalks with tools while an older woman combs the fibers on a wooden frame, and a spinning wheel and a fenced field appear in the background. The work is titled Zur bearbeitung des Flachses and is credited to Bruno Héroux, dated 1910.
