About this work
A large multi-panel print titled Gerberei, dated 1910 and attributed to Bruno Héroux, shows workers in a tannery scraping and handling animal hides with knives and tools. Chickens and a cow move about a cobbled courtyard, while a hide hangs over a wooden beam and another is drying in a doorway at right.
