About this work
A large multi-panel lithographic print titled Der Schieferbruch by Bruno Héroux, dated 1910, shows workers at a slate quarry. Figures split and saw slate slabs at wooden benches, a worker pushes a rail cart toward a tunnel, and a climber works on the rock face while terraced quarry walls recede into the distance.
