About this work

A decorative chromolithographic broadside commemorating the centennial of the United States, shown with an eagle holding a banner reading Liberty and Union, one and inseparable. It surrounds a central scene of the Declaration of Independence with rows of presidential portraits, facsimile text of the signers, a Liberty Bell illustration, and views of the 1876 International Exhibition buildings in Philadelphia. The print was published by Haasis & Lubrecht, Map and Chart Publishers, New York, in 1876.
