About this work

A nineteenth-century campaign broadside titled Our Nation's Choice, printed in 1876 by Haasis & Lubrecht, shows oval engraved portraits of Rutherford B. Hayes and William A. Wheeler, the Republican candidates for President and Vice-President. Allegorical female figures, a waving flag inscribed Our Country, and an engraving of the Cincinnati Republican Convention hall surround dense printed text including the party platform.
