About this work
A vertical hand-colored panoramic print titled Panorama of Washington, published by Charles Magnus. It pairs an oval portrait of George Washington framed by flags and the motto "First in War, First in Peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen" with a grid of small vignettes of Washington buildings and monuments, above a large view of the Capitol dome.
