About this work
An engraved interior scene shows a group of men in dark 19th-century coats gathered around a bed where a bearded man lies in white bedclothes. Some figures lean over the bed while others stand or sit along the walls, and framed pictures hang behind them in a dimly lit room. The print is titled Death of Lincoln, made by Alexander Hay Ritchie and dated 1875.
