About this work
A chromolithographic print titled Banane (Musa sapientum) shows a banana plantation with broad-leaved plants and hanging fruit bunches along a dirt path. Several figures in light clothing and straw hats carry or stand beside the harvested bananas, while a worker sits beside a thatched shed filled with fruit.
