About this work
A theatrical costume design shows a male figure in a yellow tunic with puffed, embellished sleeves, a patterned pink and cream bodice, and a black belt. One leg is clad in yellow and the other in black tights, with laced boots, and the figure wears a red and white feathered hat. The gouache and pencil design on an orange ground is attributed to Lon Landau and dated 1937.
