About this work

A stylized standing figure in profile is shown against a black background, wearing a sage green coat with red layered shoulder pieces and a red sash, over a teal skirt with scalloped hems and red boots. The figure's outstretched hand and angular, flattened forms give the composition a theatrical quality. This work, titled Personage, is by Lon Landau and dated 1937.
