About this work
A black-and-white line cut shows a group of medieval figures gathered in a hall, with a mitred bishop at left, a richly robed central figure, and a woman in a long gown at right. A decorative scrollwork border frames the image and an inscribed caption reads Robin Hood Steps betwixt Sir Stephen and his Bride. The work is a 1926 print by Louis Arthur Holman.
