About this work
This etching shows a café scene with a cluster of seated and standing figures on the left and a man in a feathered hat at a table on the right, where cups and a saucer are visible. A pale, empty area in the center suggests smoke or light rising through the room. The work is titled Le café, created by Armand Seguin in 1893, and is held in the collection of the pdx museum.
