About this work

A colored lithograph shows the steam yacht Corsair under way through choppy green seas, with a black smokestack, two tall masts, and a white awning over the deck where figures stand. A United States flag flies from the stern under a sky of pink and gray clouds. The printed inscription dedicates the print to Charles J. Osborn, Esq. and gives the vessel's builder, William Cramp Sons & Co. and its dimensions. The print is credited to Currier & Ives and dated 1881.
