About this work
Two hand-coloured engravings stacked on one sheet show urban scenes with crowds in period dress, a row of masted ships with Dutch flags, and gabled brick buildings. The upper view is labelled De Beurse and the lower view De Marckt, with a bronze statue standing near a railing in the lower scene.
