About this work
An engraved astronomical diagram shows a circular system of epicycles, small circles carrying planets around larger orbits, with radiating lines and Latin labels. Putti holding banners and clouds frame the corners, and a zodiac band encircles the outer ring. The print is attributed to Andreas Cellarius and dated 1660.
