About this work

A hand-colored celestial chart of the northern sky, shown as a large globe with constellation figures such as a horse, a giraffe, a bear and a crab drawn across the star field. Winged cherubs blow trumpets from banners in the upper corners, and classical figures stand at the lower edges. This Andreas Cellarius print is dated 1660.
