A view across a Venetian waterway shows the domed church of Santa Maria della Salute on the right and a domed customs house with a sculpted globe on its tower to the left. Gondolas, rowers and sailing boats crowd the calm water in the foreground and along the quay, with figures moving about the waterfront. The painting is a work by Francesco Guardi, dated 1783.
