About this work
This engraved view shows the classical frontage of Emmanuel College in Cambridge, with a pedimented central block, tall columns and a large tree at the right. Figures walk along the street and a horse-drawn carriage travels at the left under a cloudy sky. The print was drawn and engraved by Thomas Malton and published in 1799 by B. Hood in Cambridge and S. W. Fores in Piccadilly.
