This hand-coloured aquatint shows the Sessions House for the County of Middlesex, with its classical portico and rounded windows, set in a busy street. Pedestrians, a horse and cart, a rider on horseback, and a dog populate the foreground, while townhouses and a shop sign for a hairdresser frame the scene. The print was published by Thomas Malton in 1799.
