This engraved print, published in 1799 by Thomas Malton, shows the south front of the Senate House with its columned classical facade on the left and the west end of St. Mary's Church with its tall Gothic tower on the right. Well-dressed pedestrians and a dog walk along a street lined with iron posts and chains, with a row of old houses and a distant spire receding into the background.
