The painting shows the Virgin Mary seated on a raised throne beneath a green canopy, holding the infant Christ, with two angels drawing back the drapery above. Saints stand on either side of the throne, including a figure holding keys and a bishop in red vestments, while two putti read a scroll at the base. This work is Raphael's Madonna of the Baldacchino from 1506, held at the Galleria Palatina.
