About this work
This painted landscape shows the waterfall at Niagara Falls in winter, with snow and ice coating the rocks and the small Terrapin Tower standing on a frozen outcrop in the foreground. Mist rises from the falls under a pale, warm sky, and a snowy treeline stretches along the far bank.
