About this work
A pencil sketch of clouds across a pale sky, with handwritten notes describing colors such as yellow, orange, pink and grey, and numbered tonal values. The lower part of the sheet indicates distant mountains that appear more purple than the clouds, and the note is dated June 25, 1863.
