About this work

This etching shows a row of human heads and busts arranged across a horizontal format, including a bearded man, a veiled woman in the foreground, and several younger figures turning in different directions. The fine hatched lines model the faces and drapery, and the engraved credit line at the lower corners names Guercino as the inventor and Francesco Bartolozzi as the engraver.
