About this work
A lithograph in brown tones shows a riverside quay beneath a stone arched bridge, with a crane lifting a load over a barge and rowboats on the water. Two horses pull a cart while workers stand beside them among heaps of material, and a row of city houses and a tree frame the scene. The work is titled Kade van de Seine, made by Mommie Schwarz in 1909 and held by the Rijksmuseum.
