A nude male figure crouches on a dark mound with bent knees and one arm extended toward a pale, luminous area at the left. Dense, curving hatching in crayon-like strokes surrounds the figure and suggests swirling light and atmosphere. This print by Johannes Josephus Aarts, dated 1927, is held by the Rijksmuseum.
